Curious... what are you seeing as the typical time between interview and residency check? I've seen some post that they received their RC a day or two after the interview. I want to be available, but like most, I work all day and have obligations after work as well. I'm 10 days in and still waiting.Comment

I had my interview on a Thursday and they showed up on Saturday in the same week. They are probably back logged with requests.

Took about 3 weeks for mine. My brother was about the same time. Mine showed up on a Friday and I was home. My brother had his first attempt on a Sunday, but he wasn't home. The officer went to the neighbors but still came back again the following Sunday and my brother happened to be home then.Comment

If you live with someone, just make sure they know someone will be stopping by and asking if you live there. Some people have had family members deny they live there (for whatever reason), not answer the door, etc. That all makes the process take longer.Sent from Free AmericaComment

My initial appointment and interview was on 8/18/16 and my residency check was 3 days later on the 21st. The investigator just knocked on my door, asked if I was the applicant, and signed a form that said I lived at my address. He was totally cool and answered any questions I had. With the recent explosion in CCW processing from OCSD (see link below), they're going to be running around everywhere to run the residency check. Hang in there!

Sent mine in 4 months early and it expired. I went one week without CCW. I felt like I was not wearing pants. I had the worst uneasy feeling. But as I said I picked it up a week later and all is good. The newer lady at OCSD was so nice and let me know to start 6 months early next time because I was part of the original no good cause group. So tons of people have the same month renewal date.Comment
