That confirms what we’ve seen already though. I.e. it’s not shall issue, but there’s probably hundreds of thousands, if not millions in the county that have yellow good cause which seems sufficient at this point

Yep exactly. I was one of those called back with yellow good cause that became sufficient

Some questions on filling out the DOJ BOF 4012 application:

            1. If you had a CCW license (and req'd training) in another CA county that expired several years ago, would you check off "Renewal Application" or "Initial Application"?

2: Section 3, "Description of Weapons" has 3 slots, but also states, "Use additional pages if necessary." For LASD, how many guns can you list?

            3. Is it useful to mention holding FFL03?

            Thanks guys

Looks like I'll be at the Firing Line in Burbank getting that CCW cert this weekend. Thank you Paladin and everyone for working so hard to keep us informed and helping us achieve this piece of mind. I'll let you all know how it goes.

So lets say someone received notification from LASD to take their CCW qualification course...there's a list of nine approved options whose pricing ranges from $170 - $500 and 8 - 16 hours. I believe you get what you pay for but let's also assume this person knows how to shoot. I am curious what opinions people who've received (and by default attended one of the approved schools) their LA County CCW have on the particular school they attended.

Question I am filling out my application and I was reading the instructions and it states to ONLY fill out sections 1-5. I did that but my good cause is on section 7 or is there other place I would write my good cause. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you give us a rough idea of what your GC is like? (But not so much detail as to ID yourself.)

I went to the firing line. Price is right, no appt necessary, weekday and weekend classes every week. I'll just say if you aren't at least moderately trained, go elsewhere. If you're trained, definitely patronize this option.

Is there any information regarding those who applied and were interviewed but ultimately rejected due to insufficient good cause?

                              1. If you're applying in a different county, you should use Initial Application
                              2. Depends on the county issuing. LASD only allows 3 guns and you can't change or add after you've received your permit until renewal time.
                              3. FFL03 won't likely make a difference unless you somehow plan to use it as a part of your good cause statement.

Does anyone know if a valid passport is good enough if I can't find my birth certificate? Also I don't have utilities under my name is a car registration okay?
