This is absolutely insane, I'm smiling from ear to ear.

I'm just going to repeat it for everyone else....LASD is PROACTIVLEY calling people who were previous denies...letting them know their G.C. is worthy of an interview...

Is that what they said to you? "Things have changed"? If so, wow.

Can anyone tell me how long it took to get their live scan results back? This is a link to find out, but mine's still not back yet after 5 days. Link: https://applicantstatus.doj.ca.gov/

Based on what I have been reading here, I was about to start contacting people who I knew had been denied. To my delight, they have already been contacted by LASD to resume the process. This is great!!

Another CGNer who had been denied PMed me to say LASD contacted them and asked if they’d like to resume the application process.

Is the common denominator in all these callbacks a good cause which incorporates “employment risk,” in one form or another?

FWIW I’m going to be less active in LA Co CCW activity. In the 5 months since the first CGNer got issued on Oct 01 things have consistently and steadily improved. The only thing remaining is for LASD to accept a level of green GC and that may happen in July. Then most LA Co CGNers will be able to get CCWs and we will have “won” LA Co. But that is up to AV.

If things keep up, come next fall there should be so many LASD CCWers you shouldn’t worry about posting about your own experiences (but still don’t provide so much detail as to ID yourselves). ETA: But then again, with Dem in control of the Presidency, Senate and House and Cancel Culture censorship and ostracism you can never be too careful.

Time for me to turn my attention to my own stomping ground, the SF Bay Area.

The process itself takes no more than a couple of days, although for the sheriff to get it and then contact the applicant (by email) may take a couple weeks. If you haven't heard anything for three weeks, email them and ask.
