Do you have your 2020-2022 renewed card in hand though? I have a feeling june/July renewals are going to get screwed due to no in-person paperwork turn in & classroom renewal instruction going on...

Highly unlikely that they have their new card. Normally they don't send them out before you attend the renewal class and pretty sure they would not send it out this early for a June expiration date.

Yup most definitely, I was being sarcastic. I think June renewals(and maybe July even due to backlog) are going to get the shaft with an expired permit, and no way to get a renewal card for a while.

            I have a question,
With our inability to complete upcoming renewal processeses through the sheriff's office, do they accept third party training and qualification certificates for renewal?
The cost would be worth it to me to maintain my ccw
Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to answer this
Next stop is reaching out to the sheriff's office

No. I wish they did. It would make things much easier.

              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

My permit expires in early May 2020. I slacked on the renewal process so I got my renewal class in scheduled in mid April, but then it got pushed back due to COVID-19. My renewal class was then rescheduled for the middle of May (after my permit expires).

Just received this email today from the sheriff's office:

I was not aware that I had to requalify even though I'm not adding or removing anything. It never came up during my renewal process. Actually, the clerk I talked to at the sheriff's office said there would be no requal. Oh well.

With the passing of AB2103 renewals were required to qualify when renewing.

That's great info. Looks like they are doing the best they can to get you the training needed to renew.

Sucks not being able to get to the range to requalify.

                      My permit expires in July.
I haven't turned in the renewal paperwork or paid fees yet.
I do have a renewal class scheduled for 5/12 in Rancho Cucamonga.
Today 4/28 I called to ask about it, was told IF they cancel it, they will CALL ME.

My class was scheduled for may 5 got the phone call today that it's cancelled. My permit expires in june the lady said she will call back when it gets closer to expiring. So I think they have something for people's who's permits are gonna expire.

Last night I finished watching Video #1 of the renewal training class. The opening dialogue from our sheriff was wonderful.

The detective shared some really embarrassing stories of CCW holders and applicants that left me shocked. I was shaking my head thinking "Really? You need to tell the citizens of San Bernardino County that this type of behavior is not OK while carrying a CCW?" *facepalm*

Sorry if I am late to the party and repeating stuff, haven't been in this forum for a month or two. My friends just got a call from SBSD and their May class was canceled as well. They were told NOT to carry when it expires.

Johnny Mac, we love ya' man but how can you allow this to happen? During a time when we need our right to carry more than ever? This is really disturbing. My friends have no intention of not carrying by the way. As we release criminals and screw over the citizens, we further infrings on the 2A. My permit expires next Feb, I'm okay... because I'll be a full time TN resident by then, but by God how can this be okay with you Sheriff?
