    Renewal Held Up

Completed all the paperwork and the renewal class back in March or April. Was told at the end of class that my card would be mailed to me. Since my expiration date is approaching, I checked in today by phone and was told that all renewals would require range qualification, and that there was no method for them to do the qualification yet. No, I did not add any firearms to my permit.

I suggest you spend some time reading previous posts. Qualifications for renewals have been discussed for months now.

Had to wade through a lot of posts to find a couple of snippets related to my situation. So, when did SBSD start applying the range for renewal portion of the law? Sounds like all the folks that received their cards at my renewal class are good to go, (although they have to still do range time). Was there a cutoff date for when your existing permit expired, or was it just a card-in-hand situation to be among that group? Or was I just lucky enough not to get my card mailed out in time?

Those are CCW permits that are issued to judges.

Prolly mentioned elsewhere... but I have not yet stumbled upon it... what are the current shooting requirements?
Used to be 5 rounds, reload, 5 rounds at a B27 target at 5 yards...

                  Thanks

That sounds correct. Unless it changed recently.

                            CCW process has begun again!

                            My permit expired today.

Received an email Friday containing 3 vids to watch and attest to. (renewal training)

Just returned from the Sheriffs office on 3rd St. having turned in my packet and MO.

Range payment (28.00) due at range, they will notify me of date.

I called @0855 (from High desert)and walked out of SB office 1hr and 10 minutes later!!

                            Don't forget your mask!!

Once again I'm impressed with the courtesy and professionalism of this Sheriffs Department. Thank you Sherriff Mc Mahon.
