Ya know, that makes just too much sense. Maybe a trap, just too easy! I will give them a call Monday. Good suggestion, thanks.

And I answered the question by analogy to a shotgun chamber. Go buy the largest size the chamber accepts.

I think you need to work on your analogies. Because all I got out of it was that some guns accept multiple cartridges.

No where did I get any reference as to wether or not the San Bernardino sheriff thinks it's legal to load your carry gun with a cartridge other than the caliber listed on your permit.

        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

And has nothing to due with concealed carry permit requirements. My G21 could shoot a small number of .45 Super (not a good idea without some minor modification), but would most likely put me in violation of my permit.

And as Doh and YSR have so lovingly pointed out, this is the San Bernardino forum, not OC.

Spend the next 4 weeks double checking ALL of your documentation... certified birth certificate, marriage certificate, tax documents or lease, fresh utility bill (that is not past due), etc....

The interview itself is more of an honesty test than anything. These are the HR people for SBSD and they can see through BS a mile away.
Don't hide anything... they probably already know about it, it's better to reveal something that they didn't know about than to appear to be hiding something that they do know about.

                    I agree.

You really need to make sure that you have all the paperwork you need in order.

The biggest mistake is to think that all birth certificates and marriage certificates are "certified". Unless they have the county seal embossed in the paper it's not a "certified" certificate. Some hospitals and churches give out commemorative certificates for you to have until the certified one comes in the mail. Don't get these mixed up.

How important is it? Well I posted last year that a buddy of mine waited until the last minute to check everything. He found out that he did not have a certified copy of his birth certificate. He tried to get it on the day of his interview and missed his interview. He is still over a month away from his rescheduled interview date.

The other thing I would recommend is to make an extra set of copies of your paperwork. You have to have one set but when I was there for my interview there was one item that they wanted an extra copy of; luckily I had made an extra set and was able to give them the copy.

Even if you think it's redundant, take everything and let them pick what they want to document.
I went in with my 2-page tax bill, a 4-page document from the county, AND my title/deed from my mortgage company.

It doesn't cost anything to carry the extra documentation in with you, but if something is not in order, it's going to be a wait for another appointment to fix it.
You will need at least two forms of proof of residency, lease/rental agreement and a utility bill that shows a current balance.
I lucked out on my renewal... my water bill was paid current, but the bill showed a balance that would have gone past-due the week after my renewal visit.

Yes. A lot of it is redundant. But it's their game their rules. I've seen several people lately posting that they are having problems because of not having a utility bill in their name. If you're in this situation I would recommend you get a utility bill in your name now.

My experience went the other way.
They ask for originals and a copy. I printed out nice color copies that were almost undiscernable from the originals.
She took only the originals and made her own copies in B&W on the office copier, I got everything back except for the application, notarized form, and residence/employment history.

I heard that there's a form you can get from the DMV to prove you made the change with them.
