County of issuance for notarized authorization

While getting the notarized authorization to release info form done, the notary crossed off San Bernardino and wrote Los Angeles in the section that needs to be filled out for the county of. Then it dawned on me, this notary is in LA county. Does that matter? In other words, does the notary have to be from SB county? I am pretty sure it doesn't, but want to be prudent.

Notary's commissions are valid state wide. You're GTG.

        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I haven’t had my interview yet, but will assume it’s fair game since one of the questions on the pre-background interview form asks about tattoos. I’ll let someone else who has body art and already had their interview speak to their experience.

                  Mod monkey,

I am covered in tattoos also. I basically stripped naked and got photographed by the detectives front to back, top to bottom...

One tattoo contained an expletive that has since been covered.

                  They didn't care.

Even though I was covered the detectives said "we've seen a lot more tats on people than you"..

They are looking for good character, which I have based on my clean record. Body art is irrelevant unless it is gang related..

They of course know all the gang tats and stupid teardrops, etc..

The detectives also mentioned anything racist... which I assume means aryan brotherhood prison tats, etc...

So if you are a good boy you should be good to go...

You are getting investigated by the same department that screens potential new deputy recruits. If you are clean then you have good moral character.

The ccw class was full of all types of people.. fyi..

Must be something new, I don't remember anything about tattoos, and I think I would have remembered the strip and photograph session. I would not have agreed to that without an offer of drinks and dinner after!

My entire right calf is tattooed. I remember the initial app asking about tattoos, which I disclosed. When I went for my in-person interview I wore pants, and the officer brought it up and asked to see....lifted my pant leg, he said cool and was done.

I think your fine as long as what was mentioned, i.e. no gang/prison tatts, and a clean record.

They want to check your tattoos to see if they are gang/criminal related.

They don't care about other types of tattoos.

During my last renewal class, one of the persons (mid-20s, white male) there had neck and full sleeves tattoos. He said he was a tattoo artist.

Basically your saying that you've been committing fraud to avoid smog laws. If you live in SB and apply in another county that you don't reside in that would also be fraud. Doesn't look to good.

So I'm assuming I will have to apply for a CCW in Imperial County? I do have proof of residency in San Bernardino, but I'm thinking the sheriff won't like the fact that I haven't changed my address.... anyone have any experience with this?
