For you, maybe. Not for everyone as apparent by my post and others.

      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I got mine so early (over a month) I was afraid that I would forget to swap out the licenses when it was time. I just started carrying both, one on top of the other.

My renewal arrived early enough that I put on my phone calendar a reminder to swap them.on the date the renewal became effective.

Why is this even an argument? Some of us start the renewal process as early as possible, others may wait until the last minute. There also may be a window where there are a lot more renewals to process and they get backed up. I know the CCW applications really took off a few years ago, and 38 may be unlucky enough to have his/her renewal fall into that rotation. So......lets hug it out!

Can anyone clarify the ccw application process for residents of Redlands? City of Redlands website says ccw permits are handled by SB county sheriff’s office and SB county sheriff’s office says residents of Redlands are to contact their law enforcement agency to begin the process?

Redlands website is correct. They are no longer issuing permits. You'll need to apply with the county.

                          SBSD says check with city.
                          City says go to SBSD.
                          You checked.
                          Go to SBSD.

Redlands PD was issuing to residents at one time. They have gone back to not issuing it is my understanding so you can/need to apply with the Sheriff.

ETA: I don't see the Redlands statement on the SBSD site anymore.
Is it still there? They updated it a short time ago.

It is still there under the ‘Quick Links’ section. Which is why I was a bit confused on which way to go. Thanks to everyone who answered for clearing it up.
