Took the class 5 weeks ago on 7/16/19...

    NO weapons changes.

I emailed sbcsd CCW to inquire about the status of my renewal permit a week ago on 8/14/19.

No response to my email, and still no new permit has arrived. Everywhere on their new CCW FAQs page is *DO NOT CALL* !

Yet my current permit expires in nine days 9/1/19, and with no response to my email in over a week, I feel I need to call their office if it doesn't arrive tomorrow. We have had mail theft in our area in the past and that has me wondering and anxious about where my permit is? Was it ever mailed? What's the status?

Are they currently that backed up on issuing renewals, and why no response to an email in over a week?

They may have gotten behind again. Give them time. If still nothing by next Wednesday send a second email.

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Got the call today, range day next month!!

Question, is there any requirement to shoot a revolver double action, single? Putting three guns on but my snubbie is a handful by comparison to the semi autos.

        Double action.

What caliber? 38? 158gr LSWC is easier to handle than FMJ.

I've been to two CCW range sessions now Donny, I have never seen anyone fail to qualify with any gun. One lady was using a j-frame and was missing the B-27 by feet, they worked with here and got her on target.

          You'll be fine.

And congrats and welcome to the club. You'll be carrying in a matter of a few weeks from now.

I qualified with my Ruger LCR .357 shooting .38's first try, and I am really terrible with it.

I was wondering the same, I emailed back on 7/11 and sent a follow up email around 8/5. I have not received a response back yet.

You wait until you get through range day and wait for that permit... the hours will seem like months.

Hope everything went well... Welcome to the club.

You were right. I received it Saturday, the 24th. Never did receive a reply to my email. 11 weeks to process a renewal is pretty far behind, but I am thankful it arrived a week before the expiration of my previous one.

                      Thank you for your reply...

No problem. My brother did all of his stuff early like you did. He got his permit 3 days before the old one expired. Though he did have a pistol change.

They do not normally mail renewals until VERY near your current expiration date. You don't know that it took 11 weeks to process, you only know you got it when you should have.

Not true. I had my new permit almost 3 1/2 weeks before the old one expired. Several other people here have had the same experience.

I got my new license in the mail 11 days from my renewal class back in May. My license expires in July, worked out great for me. Maybe it's vacation time?
