I put my 1911 on that I will carry in the Desert but it's the biggest one I have on there.

Unrelated, they said that with the 2 classes on Saturday it will pull them over 10k CCW's in San Bernardino County. Not a big percentage with a population of 2 million but it's growing pretty fast. There were about 100 in my class.

I seem to remember a hand cannon or two at my original qual at AVGC too.
When you add a gun you only need to do the range not the entire 8 hour day. I believe they are two desperate times.

It should have been ONLY 'first timers'.

Some people question me about putting my G21 on my permit, but I find it much more comforting while in black bear country (Buffalo Bore .255 gr. cast) than my G26. If I felt confident that I could actually hit the bear with my LCR .357, I would carry that.

I have a question about carry gun upgrades. I have a buddy with a CCW in Orange county and he said they told him any carry firearm had to pretty much be stock OEM parts, with the exception of maybe sights. Not sure if San Bernardino is the same. I can see them not wanting lightened springs but a trigger shoe or extended mag catch has no bearing on the way it fires or trigger pull. Can anyone who has a CCW in San Bernardino shed some light on what if anything can or can't be upgraded? To me, if it improves the chances of saving a life, I don't see what the difference is but I'm not a lawmaker either..

It depends on the deputy giving the class. I've heard that some day no upgrades. Others have said something that makes you a better shot with your weapon would be ok.

One thing that is pretty much frowned upon is a target trigger. Anything at or under 3lbs would be denied.

                Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I have a Full sized SMITH 1006 10mm on my permit which a carry quite comfortably with a Crossbreed Quikclip at 3:45 15 degree cant.

Only issue I have it the slide is longer then the holster and is a bit cold when I first put it on. LOL I'm not too worried about Black Bear, but some of those Berdo hairless bears can run on the XXXXX large size.

I have a Springfield Stainless Milspec I added. During the function test the deputy asked if I modded the trigger. I told him it was that way out of the box. He kept cocking and breaking, not dry firing. He seemed to think it was light but they don't have a scale or anything. I mentioned that it does feel lighter and different than a striker fired gun. He seemed to think about it and handed it back and said I was GTG. I was a little nervous about the scrutiny that went into it but it worked out.

Renewal 'class' isn't the same as the intial class.
