All permits in California are good for 2 years.

Yes the renewal process is faster.

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

        Range day question.

I actually took notes when I got the call and he said on the phone something to the affect of bringing 4 forms. I can see only 2, the firearms form and the liability release. I'm thinking he actually meant 4 items, the 2 forms and 2 money orders. And really it would be 5 items if you include the self addressed envelope. Am I missing anything, besides bringing lunch?

I believe I know the answer but just checking if anyone here has any input... I live in San Bernardino and have for the past 9 years, but I haven't changed my address at DMV because of smog checks. So I use my dad's address still in Imperial County, which is a no smog county. So I'm assuming I will have to apply for a CCW in Imperial County? I do have proof of residency in San Bernardino, but I'm thinking the sheriff won't like the fact that I haven't changed my address.... anyone have any experience with this?
As an Auto Tech for 40 years and a Smog Tech since 1990, just fix the car and Smog it.

You're welcome to PM me for free advise if you have issues doing that, ie, emissions problems, missing equipment, etc.

I think it is a matter of not wanting to pay the fees not of the car not passing smog.
            DMV fraud plan and simple.

I'm going, not supposed to be anything major. My bullets can dodge the rain drops

                        Have buddy going.
He told me he paid for Navy Seal Edition so it would fire in the rain.

Range Day yesterday. Perfect weather, overcast and cool. We were done by 2:30 and the sun was just peeking out.

I saw someone qualify with what looked like a 6" 45 revolver I think he was in the first or second group which means that would be his only gun.

Some people just want truck/bike guns Don. At my renewal there was a guy adding a 6" model 29 for that reason. Possible the person you saw was adding or changing a gun on their permit as well.

I have a full size 1911 on my permit, I bring it on my bike rides.

Honestly I think we were mixed in with first timers, but I can't say with 100% certainty. Pretty sure though because some people had multiple weapons.

I seem to remember a hand cannon or two at my original qual at AVGC too.
