"non-criminal background check" is what is typically used.

Most people assume it's for employment.

          Keep waiting.

I applied after the shooting. Took me 16.5 months.

          Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Keep waiting. They aren't scheduling range classes because of the virus. I applied Oct 1st. I had a class date in April, it was canceled. I had another class date in May, it was canceled.

Yea. I was hoping that because they arent doing classes they would, at least on a temp basis, accept a private class and qual.

I went in yesterday to file my renewal app, and everything went smoothly and fairly quickly, but I can't get into a class before October. They did not offer an online option. My permit expires on Sept 15 and the class is a month later.. How long it will take to get my new license after that is unknown....

I guess you better get your class scheduled more than 90 days in advance!

I understand we're in uncertain times, but how long (normally) after an interview is the range qualification scheduled for a first time applicant?

I'm seeing renewal classes scheduled as far out as October.

My interview was February, original range date in April.

                            Hello all,

I am fairly new to California and just moved to SB county and wanted to apply for my CCW.

On the initial instructions form, it lists the following as required documents.

This is probably a dumb question but I just need to provide my Driver's license and my utility bills correct? Do I really need to provide a copy of the property tax bill? Or any of the other documents mentioned?

I just bought my house like 2 months ago and I have no idea when I will get a copy of my deed and don't believe my property tax will be paid any time soon...

Yes, you need one of those two forms.. if you do not have any of the forms or copys listed you will be turned around!

                                You need all of it.

Since you do not have your current property tax bill, bring your mortgage/property deed.
