had my initial interview today. the detective said i should hear back by the end of february or beginning of march.
if anyone is looking to take the ccw class i highly recommend wesley lagomarsino. i took his class and was very happy with his approach. he is very friendly and personable. but also strict on safety and had a good grasp of the material he covered.

I have noticed some of you have said when the sheriff received the livescan. How do you get that information?

Look at post #1, I believe that's where there's a phone number you can call that will tell you if your info has been processed and returned to the SD. I think you can call 48 hours after the LiveScan.

Approval came in the mail today, go figure since I was fussing about it the day before. The CCW gods must have been listening.

I did. They took a copy of the cert with my initial application, but only because it showed some additional pistol training for the committee to consider. I also had to have it for my final paperwork appointment. That's when they really need it, to prove you've attended the CCW class.

Great Sacramento CCW course

I just completed a CCW course here in Sacramento with Wesley Lagomarsino of Lagomarsino's Firearm Institute. The first day was didactics here off Watt Ave then the next day at the Sac Valley Shooting center. Wesley was very safety conscious, professional, thorough, helpful, witty and very easy to get along with. I'd recommend him to anyone needing a CCW course in Sacramento.
