Some parts have to be filled out each time. From what I've heard, you do not have to provide references on the renewal. Be prepared to ante up more money both for the renewal and the class. It appears that some jurisdictions are requiring the fingerprints at renewal, but looks like Sacramento has rolled the cost into the renewal.
