While it may be a relief to hear, I would hope that if you chose to carry a gun, you'll take your safety and that responsibility seriously. I honestly think their qualification is a massive disservice to their students. I prefer to see the programs that are timed at multiple distances, from a holster, or with reloads, or strong hand/weak hand etc.

That's the way we qualified at The Gun Range on Watt ave. Also the cost was $50 for the first pistol and 5 for each additional.

I finally got my email from the county that I can pick up my permit. I changed my mind on one of my carry guns so I'm going to Cordova Shooting Center on Friday to qualify with my new addition before my issuance appointment. I have Monday off already due to MLK day and was able to get an appointment for Monday so that worked out well. 95 days after Livescan.

I knocked out a quick qualification over at Cordova Shooting Center this morning when they opened. I double checked that I have all my training certificates and proof of residences and my money order. I tried to schedule my pickup earlier in the day and scooped up an 11:00 for Monday morning.

I picked up my permit this morning. Livescan was closed there today but they were still issuing. I arrived 30 minutes early to my appointment. Their were three people ahead of me. I was called back about 10-15 minutes after I arrived. We went over my training documents and proof read my permit and than the laminated it, handed it to me, shook my hand and sent me on my way. I left the building 10 minutes before my appointment was supposed to start.

I asked about modifications while I was there because I noticed the calendar was closed. I was told that since the San Bernardino event applications have gone through the roof statewide and it has slowed everything down. They are staying really busy trying to keep up. Due to that the modifications calendar probably won't be open until March, according to the officer that handled my issuance.. I was told that Livescans are coming in lately around 90 days.
