Someone over at DOJ likes me!

Went for my initial interview today and following that, had to exchange a couple emails regarding my Glock having "2" serial numbers; 6 digits followed by "US" on the frame which is how its registered. And, the same 6 digits on the slide minus the "US" designation which was what was listed on my training certificate. Ultimately, nothing required any changes but the IA did inform me in the email exchange that they had already received Livescan results from DOJ which I had done just under 2 months ago!

Six weeks used to be the norm before they got busy. I just got my exposed firearms card and my LiveScan took less than three weeks. I believe the same things are checked.

Damn EAS I wish I'm as lucky as you. I'm a couple days shy of 2 months. I have everything else done. I try not to think about it, but that's not happening.

Get your stuff in order; you'll be bumped up a time or two. We've even had people that have been bumped up months and asked if they could come in in a few days.

Doesn't hurt to have your stuff sitting around ready to go.

Is the initial CCW appointment email the only email that you get?

Or does the OCSD send out another "reminder" email as you get closer to your appt date?

Dumb question time...

I submitted my initial request through the OCSD website on 3/22/16 but still haven't received any sort of acknowledgement or appointment date. I've been diligently checking my email and spam folders but nothing so far. I figured they were backlogged with new requests but it appears as if some of you are getting your interview dates.

I would appreciate any tips or recommendations on how I should proceed. Would I be out of line to contact OCSD directly to inquire about status?

Send another one with a different email or give them a call.

Thanks. Yes, I have my application filled out and printed, passport and 1 utility. Although the website states that you must have at least 2 documents with your address on it, I only have a cell phone bill. I don't have electricity, cable or mortgage since I rent a room.

Has anybody else had success with a DMV registration or car insurance bill?

I applied on a Saturday and they emailed me back on a Monday (presumably when they re-opened). I would try applying again.

I would recontact, this time at the email addy below and tell them you sent a request on 3/22 and haven't heard from them yet.

Just received my conditional renewal approval. Took about 3 weeks.

I was sweating whether my GC was going to be good enough.

Guess it was.
