Same place as your in person interview location. I think the two locations currently serving CCW are Monterey Park and Santa Clarita.

How about handguns legally bought FTF before an FFL and universal registration at transfer were required, and which were never voluntarily registered? As an aside, my understanding is that the process of adding such a gun to a permit effectively registers them with DOJ.

My father is considering applying, and some of what he'd want to put on the permit are unregistered handguns.

My interview was in Chatsworth. Pickup was to be Monterey Park, but I have to reschedule it.

I was just reading the LASD website and it says the firearm must be registered sadly.

For those that were denied from LAPD, how long did it take after submitting the initial application?

It took almost 4 years but SD Sheriff Gore just issued >200 CCWs in one month!

Hopefully AV will be able to ramp up approvals in less time.

I called LAPD today to schedule my appointment. They were unable to give me a date. They have exhausted all the dates they had opened up including up to and through mid August. The Detective said he would call me back when he had new dates opened. The tsunami has risen and flooded their system. He said that was because of the civil unrest of last summer. He also said they had not changed their definition of good cause.

                              Damn hate to hear that.

I called in Jan. My date is middle of April
Wife called in about 4 weeks ago and her date is early May.

I would just keep calling brother!

They only conduct interviews once a week for about 3-4 hours. Maybe this will have interviews twice a week.

                                Torrance residents

                                FYI

LASD will need declined letter from Torrance PD before processing.

Torrance good cause has not changed, still need threats etc...

Torrance will not issue letter until you pay 20.00 initial fee, 80.00 interview fee, 105.00 fingerprint fee. So you will be out 205.00, they know upfront that you will not pass but still require you to go through all the hoops first.
