We have the exact same timeframe of events, my livescan just completed on 5/29. I just emailed the deputy that interviewed me my livescan ati. Just waiting for a response as of now.

LASD seems to batch process who to call for interviews/pick ups on Mondays.

Since Monday was a holiday, I don't think we're going to see much action this week. Sorry boys.

Lockdown, you mentioned that the wait time is now longer for scheduling an interview. Is the wait time for the confirmation to proceed with training, live scan, and other requirements now delayed too? Or are we just going to have to wait longer for the interview call?

I imagine it's all going to be delayed. Just the nature of more applicants and the same number of deputies handling the interviews.

From what I've seen, it looks like the livescan results are coming in quicker. People before me, it took about 5 weeks. Mine took 4. The guys this week looks like it's two weeks plus a few days.
But for them to verify, look at your application and tell you to proceed with training is another beast.

If you know your background is good, get the training and live scan done in advanced. LASD can't tell you to do that, because it's against the law, but also if you get denied because of a bad BGC or something didn't check out (a DUI that showed up that you didn't talk about)

Then you can't ask them for your money back on the livescann/training.

But if you're like me, just some random internet stranger who sits on CGN as therapy, ****ing full send it.

But I don't think there's a magic computer where they activate "livescan results for localpew"
They just get the results via email in an inbox from the DOJ. And they check it once a week for completed results and pull up the file/applicant.

IF I WAS RUNNING LASD, and I don't, but if some applicant showed up to my interview. Has his ducks in order ie Good GC, no criminal history, has all his training certs, has livescan results delivered to me by the DOJ 2 weeks ago.

BROTHER FULL SEND. That was the easiest interview ever. Gotta get your application to AV's desk to review and I'll call you to pick up your license.


That again, is if I'm running CCW_UNIT. But even if somehow they do have a magic computer that turns on "livescan results for localpew" and they dont recognize your advanced results, you're out $120. Full send it and go do it again. Worth a shot. Takes me all day to make a $120.

I don't think livescan results differ that much from the beginning of June than to the end of June. But again, just an idiot on Calguns typing.

Lol, Lockdown and I are collectively smashing our heads against the wall since him and I have been told "You will be contacted as soon as your file is complete to schedule your license pickup" almost 2 weeks ago to date.

We missed the last batch, and Memorial Day (May we never forget our fallen) screwed up the timing for this week. We are both expecting the worst (next week) and also hoping for the best (this week).

Hi, it was back in Feb that I started the CCW process. Was told I need to schedule with LAPD first to get denied in order to apply with LASD. Has this changed? I'm suppose to go to LAPD (1880 Academy Dr, Los Angeles) next week and show them driver's license/utility bill.

Am I doing this all wrong?
