I was contacted 7 days from when I mailed it in. My interview is next week. The check still hasn't been cashed so I wouldn't count on that as a good indicator.

LASD will need declined letter from Torrance PD before processing.

Torrance good cause has not changed, still need threats etc...

Torrance will not issue letter until you pay 20.00 initial fee, 80.00 interview fee, 105.00 fingerprint fee. So you will be out 205.00, they know upfront that you will not pass but still require you to go through all the hoops first.

You can help them and us by telling them to apply if they have only Dark Green (daily routine risks like using ATMs after dark or filling their gas tanks after dark) or Light Green (recreational activities risks like hiking in wilderness areas with spotty cell coverage and long LE response times or transporting several handguns and long guns and several hundred rounds of ammunition to and from shooting ranges and matches around the state) Good Causes.

We’ve had reports of people being issued for similar GCs to those but need CGN members to apply using them and getting issued to verify.

After my application was accepted at LASD, they contacted me in 7 days to get ****ed by LAPD first. They put my app on hold. They just said I need to forward the denial letter to their email and that will revive the application.

Well yeah, that's the process. I encourage EVERYONE who wants to apply to read this thread in detail, understand it (I know, it's long and not organized), read and understand the LA sheriff site, and then apply. You should have known to apply to LAPD first.
