As was stated by my interviewing deputy, it takes as long as 60 days for a response for training.

I was told to not contact them.

Sorry for off-topic question, but can you give at least a hint how long we have to wait for En Banc decision from Duncan V Bonta? I could not find any reliable time frames for that

I heard the 9th did just grant leave to file an amicus brief which usually means a decision is near. But perhaps this time they will hold off until SCOTUS rules due to the circumstances.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if the cynical 9th circuit judges rushed out a decision before SCOTUS rules, in hopes that SCOTUS won't want to take another gun case right away after Bruen. So any mag capacity case would have to start from scratch under whatever new standard Bruen sets, if any. This concern is tempered by the fact that SCOTUS is still holding a very similar magazine case out of NJ, ANJRPC. They have taken no action on it either way for months.

I agree, I think anti gun jurisdictions such as the 9th will want to issue any pending gun decisions before SCOTUS sets forth clear more pro 2A standard.

I believe in Peruta the 9th said something like "If SCOTUS believes there is a constitutional right to concealed carry, they will have to say so more clearly", but of course that is the LAST thing they actually want to happen.

It has been 168 days since mine. I think the May guys have been luckier than the April ones but still - grab some popcorn and snacks because the wait can be long!

80 Days post interview and still nothing.

I submitted my livescan and completion of training the day after my interview. I received an email saying they would contact me once they received the results of my live scan... nothing since.

I would anticipate lead times to be longer due to the holiday, vacations, and if any LASD deputies quit due to the COVID Vaccination mandates.
