Congrats! It is almost done. After I got my permit, my shooting club friends and I took additional tactics classes to enhance our skills. It was much intense and improve our skills compare to the county-required CCW classes.

Update got the call to pick up yesterday afternoon.
Pick up is for this afternoon, finally the wait is over. Over all time 10 months start to finish.

You have cleared the firearms portion of the livescan investigation. I believe that it checks all guns registered to you.

I asked this previously and I don't think it checks the guns registered to you. I was under the impression that it checks one's eligibility to own firearms. Just anecdotally I think people who have DROSed recently clear it faster, but that could just be hogwash

My old neighbor and I applied the same day, he hasn't received a phone call yet for an interview. I asked LASD to cancel mine, but never received a reply, so I am not sure if they will, or will not try and call me. Was hoping 1 less will maybe bump up the time for someone else. Looking back through the posts, it looks like no one posted getting an Interview call last week, so I doubt LASD is even 1/2 way through June. I wish they could find a way to get through the backlog.
