Originally posted by RooftopDefenderLOL, 2 Staccato Ps and 1 Atlas Athena should do the justice in CA. $17k in CA marketplace. One of my shooting club members used his gun collection as his good cause for his application in December. This is good news for him too. He competes in local matches frequently.
So, I have had a C&R (collector) Lic. for many years and I regularly travel across LA county from the PV peninusula to the Whittier Narrows range, LA Clays, with sometimes in excess of $20 or 30K in collectable shotguns. Sometimes more. Has this kind of GC statement been accepted? I mean, when you think about it, everybody drives a car worth more than that.Comment

Regularly carrying large quantities of valuable firearms that are in high demand by thieves due to their easy resell, is a decent GC. Assuming you can scrupulously document these actions, I say give it a try.Comment

Los Angeles (update 12-01-2018) *** Time to Apply***
Yes, you should go for it. That is a pretty strong LG GC. There seems to be some uncertainty whether or not LASD is accepting LG GC, but I would try if I were you. Not much to risk to see.

When you think about it that makes sense. Dark Red threats are easy to verify with courts and/or LEAs. Light Red business ownership is easy to verify with goverment documents and/or government agencies. Yellow employment risks are easy to verify with employer. But Light Green recreational activities risks? Other than the applicant and their own documentation, what neutral 3rd party attests to it? That’s why I think when LASD got flooded with apps they decided to put those LG headaches in their own pile to be processed “later.” Maybe with the extra staff “later” is now???
I think I’ll PM baggss again and ask him to keep LA LG for now.
Regardless, it’s good to hear and wish you the best! Keep us updated.Last edited by Paladin; 01-12-2022, 3:53 PM.Comment

Thanks for the shout out! it put a big smile on my face this morning!I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.
The more time I spend on this forum, the more sense kcbrown makes.

As of 01/12/2022, 8605 applications have been submitted, 2085 issued, 278 in the hopper.
That is an increase of 500 applications since two weeks ago and 17 issued since one week ago.

Paladin, I still think the color should be yellow. There are some good signs but really there is more proof than not that LG is a nogo.No wonder things are backed up.
Too late: baggss agreed we stay at LG. IIRC a few weeks ago there was another LG CCW issued. Better not to bounce around. The map says it may be off one color anyway. Hopefully by summer SCOTUS will make a county map unnecessary.Last edited by Paladin; 01-12-2022, 9:21 PM.Comment
