Going back to my first post on this thread that I posted on 4/1/21. I had forgotten about it and my mindset at the time. Six and a half months later (+29 years give or take), I have the LA County CCW permit in my possession.
This is for all the lurkers or those unsure. Nobody should be on the fence. Nobody should be reluctant because they think their GC wouldn't qualify. Nobody should be waiting for LA to become a shall-issue county. Everyone should be applying for this opportunity.LA County CCW Renewal Progress
4/01/21: Mailed CCW app w/GC: Yellow.
4/14/21: $30 App Fee check deposited
5/25/21: Request for interview
6/03/21: Interview completed and Livescan submitted w/CA and FBI completed
6/14/21: Firearms Livescan: completed
8/16/21: Request to complete firearms training
8/22/21: Gun training completed/Certs submitted
10/11/21: Call to pickup

5/05 - app mailed - 6/15 - check cashed - 9/16 - received call to schedule interview
9/29 - interview complete, instructed to complete livescan. - 9/29 - Livescan Ordered. - 9/29 - CA / FBI completed.- 10/1 - Firearms completed.
10/1 - request for updated DL
10/5 - Sent updated DL / Deputy re-asked to complete live scan although already complete per instructions during interview.
1/10 - Proceed to training email / 1/10 training submitted.

Update: No update.
Tried calling the LT again at ~1:15 PM and this time the voicemail message said "Not available. Please leave a message..." instead of "Sorry, [FIRST NAME] [LAST NAME] is not available. Please leave a message..."
Likely just a glitch, but now part of me is wondering if this LT is still in her same position or if they're switching things up again
