Same. Mailed mine in late March. Check cashed mid April. Now we are about to head into June...

Guess I'll email them to find out the status. Anybody else that submitted their application in March still waiting for a call?

Has anybody received a denial letter?

Damn, they've been calling people who've sent in apps the first week of April.

Not sure where they lost your app.

My buddy's app was delivered on April 9th and the check cashed. However, he has not received any calls. He is panicking for no reason. I told him to stop looking at this thread. LOL

Did anyone receive a call today? Someone mentioned earlier that they don't call on Fridays. So Anyone Today?

Submitted to east LA Station March 16th. Check cashed the 18th, still no call/letter. Emailed last week and got a standard "we will call when your case is assigned" response. Almost want to re-submit and mail direct at this point, assuming the station filed my app to the trashcan. Also depends if/when they forwarded it downtown.

Holy damn. March 16th!? Again, they're on first week of April's applications now.

I don't think it hurts to submit a second.

I just did my firearms training by Ron at Medic Up.

Great guy and gave us the study material in pdf form to review before the class. My friend and myself took a private lesson and had a blast with Ron. He let us take our time and at the end of the class we did an overview for stop the bleed training.

Let's see how the rest goes. A coworker just finished interviewing & he gave me a pretty thorough run down of the questions he got from LASD.

                      Have you ever driven drunk/high?
Do you live with any restricted people or felons?
Have you ever had a restraining order filed against you?
Have you ever had road rage?
                      Have you ever been arrested?
Gotten into an argument with neighbor?
                      Have records expunged?
                      Smoke marijuana?
Have you worked illegally under the table?
Have you ever carried concealed illegally?
Have you ever discharged your firearm in public?
                      Have you threatened anyone?

He had a lot of questions like that.

Ron is absolutely amazing AND he's a current LASD deputy who talks frequently to the CCW unit.

My students and I have taken this Stop the Bleed courses, and we plan to take his CCW course, once we get approved for training.

Can't recommend him enough to people. So down to earth and really cares about people empowering themselves not just with firearms skills but also life saving trauma medical skills, which is just as important for folks to know. You could save a life, whether it's a violent encounter, or an everyday occurrence like a car accident.

I don't mind reapplying but it would suck to have to pay the $30 fee again...small price for a potential CCW but still

I co manage an Auto mechanic shop wtih my Brother in Law in Bellflower, where outside the property gates are homeless people and druggies hang out. I also work as a registered Nurse and go to different hospitals in different shifts.

Both of these are indirect work related and more a concern with environment. On the first, if you've ever had any run ins with the people that hang out near your shop, whether reported to the police or not, detail those in your good cause statement (if you have police reports all the better).

If you choose to use the nurse job, you'll probably have to do a bit of legwork. Document crime stats in those areas and again, if you've had encounters that you felt made you a potential victim, list those incidences in detail.
