It will be fine, I did my FA Training a day before my interview and I just handed it to the detective and he was cool with it. He even told me that the only thing he needed from me was a live scan.

All of my livescan is done. I am either waiting for this email to complete my class or my letter in the mail.

Yes, email the deputy to let him know and if you qualify with it, you should e fine.

Did my class yesterday and qualified, sent the documentation to both the CCW unit and the interviewing deputy. Now I guess I settle in for the long wait.

I did the training early even though they hadn't told me to do so yet. I wonder if I will still get the "proceed with training" email/call, or if they will just go right to "come pick up your license" (or denial).

I completed my training without LASD giving me the green light. Upon completion of the training, I emailed my documents to CCW unit and received a confirmation response via email. I completed training before the firearms portion of my live scan was completed.

About a week after all my live scan cleared, I got a call from the deputy to come and pick up my license, this was back in late May

My live scan completed 6-16-21. I emailed them my results and ATI # and called and Left a message. No response so no choice but to wait now and cross my fingers …

Anyone know if CCW is permitted if you go to a bar or a place that does not serve food only alcoholic beverages. It was not mentioned in my training and when I google it, I see forum posts stating it is a common myth to believe it is forbidden in California when it is technically allowed. The posts were from years ago.

I know if you are carrying then you are not allowed to have any alcohol. However, I am curious if allowed to carry and remain sober.
