For the recent posters, they cashed my initial application fee after a couple months. I waited a month or two, emailed them to make sure I was still being processed. Got email a week later to do interview.

A week after interview, email to do my Live Scan ($150?)

A week after Live Scan, email to do shooting test

A couple days after submitting shooting test documents, got email that I passed and about a week or two later, got call to come pick up permit

They will take a pic of you for the ID card, and you must take cashiers or money order for $120 (?) payable to LASD.

I believe my process went from 5/4/21 (mailed application with check) to 11/24/21 (picked up CCW permit)

Nice. Good news it carried very well with the TXG grip module while I was in Utah over the weekend, for what that's worth. Bad news knees broken from eating it skiing. Maybe there's a silver lining in that my newfound mobility limitation stacks on another element of heightened risk to my GC when I go in for round two.

I completed my interview on 2/17 and was given the form to complete the Live Scan which I did that same day. The deputy I interviewed with said it would be roughly 8 weeks to get the results. The Live Scan place told me 10 days, I'm guessing the 8 weeks is for LASD to process the results? What have your experiences been from interview/Live Scan to training email for those that have completed those steps?
