Let's see how the rest goes. A coworker just finished interviewing & he gave me a pretty thorough run down of the questions he got from LASD.

    Have you ever driven drunk/high?
Do you live with any restricted people or felons?
Have you ever had a restraining order filed against you?
Have you ever had road rage?
    Have you ever been arrested?
Gotten into an argument with neighbor?
    Have records expunged?
    Smoke marijuana?
Have you worked illegally under the table?
Have you ever carried concealed illegally?
Have you ever discharged your firearm in public?
    Have you threatened anyone?

He had a lot of questions like that.

I sent my application on 5/4 and the check have not been cashed yet

For those who have received their CCWs already, how long did most of you have to wait? I'm seeing about 1 week or less so far from firearms cert submission to call.
IIRC there are a few people who have not received the call yet?

I'm over a week now from sending certification/acknowledgement and I'm beginning to get worried. Or more like going crazy since the finish line is within arm's reach...

It's the call from "Restricted" that you are looking for

You'll probably have to confirm with the various training schools but I believe TRB Training has a hybrid class that totals 8 hours.

The firing line does a cheap minimal course for $150 that's 8 hours.

Just watched this, seems pretty promising. GC requirement brought up at 2:47 of the video.

I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

The more time I spend on this forum, the more sense kcbrown makes.

                            You're over thinking it..

Those are all questions they need to ask to cover their ***.

I'm sure a few questions are based on your answers

ie "do you beat your wife" when you mention your wife. etc

Can confirm, I was asked these questions during my interview along with a few scenarios on how I would handle the situation.

I firmly believe the process is evolving rapidly, and it seems that everyone has had different experiences so far. Back when I interviewed in april, the deputy and I have a friendly conversation with the interview sprinkled in between. I got maybe less than half of those questions. The other half was answering my own questions and understanding my GC and reaffirming I did the right thing
