Happy for all of you LA gun owners. I never thought I'd see the day, but boy, if a county ever needed CCW's, it's LA.

I turned my form in April 12th got an interview may 27th
Did my life scan and was told specifically not to do trianing until I pass my life scan and the state is the delay in the life scan. Was told that they have information to provide to us after we pass life scan for the trianing part. Also if you watch the new video they tell us to do training after.

So hmmm should I take the training?

I already passed FBI and CA. Not even are what the firearm part is even testing for but I can't imagine an issue?
Yea but what info does the trianing need from lasd or is she just wrong? The video does say to do it one step at a time

So I mailed my application on 4/29 and still haven't heard back. They haven't cashed my check either. Reading at some of the previous posts, this seems like a long time without a response. Any thoughts?

They give you a certificate and proficiency score card which you turn into LASD

Hmm okay cool I'm going to look for an internet class with a range test so I don't have to spent too much time in a class.

TRB runs an online 16 hour course which is overkill for the program. Yo only need 8 hours.

But after taking the intro to CCW. We're taking more adv classes soon. Such as low light, transitional, shooting while sitting and laying on your back. etc


I wouldn't skimp on training.

Check still not cashed.

Also, I was told by the Deputy, Los Angeles does not recognize "Off roading" or good causes as such. I've seen people here mention hiking etc. Not sure the difference, but i figured i would bring that up.
