Not sure if this is isolated to the license pickup or interview calls too.

Gotta love the conflicting experiences! I was told unequivocally that it's snail mail only, often received by the wrong departments within LASD (haha). Absolutely not ever sent email or electronically in any way. But, hey, who really knows, all we can go by is what we are told be the people we are talking to...but I definitely hope my deputy is incorrect.

That’s actually quite a number of issued ccws of its truly 904 (I think at the end of March it was 400+). Some guy was on the lasd fb comments section bashing the process and saying the numbers of LA ccw holders was still a far cry from OC/SB/Riverside. I think there was someone on this thread that was saying the same thing. The current process and numbers of ccws issued is significant for anyone that has tried in the past with LASD or their local PD. I waited 18 months and didn’t even budge on the list, and that list was just to get an application reviewed let alone an interview.

Some posters don’t realize how stupid they make themselves look by comparing LASD — which only started issuing like most counties recently — with ones that have been doing it for years. Of course it will take time to get a new program up and running smoothly.
