Any new pick up calls recently?

Nice, when did you apply, and why so far out for pickup? Was that the earliest date they offered you?

Applied August 2021.

Was only offered one date. Didnt try to get any other.

Got call to pickup on 6/2

They advised me to bring money order or cashier's check for 120 - as I suspected, increase only applies to those who apply on/after May 4th

My brother-in-law just received his call for pick-up. He's miss the call a few times this week, since he is at a conference in Denver. His date is June 7th.
That was the first available. The Deputy said she's calling a lot of people for pick-ups.

I?m glad to hear that people are getting pick up calls.

I am patiently waiting for my pick up call since I submitted my training docs and then got a request for current utility bill again but no confirmation of receipt on my training docs.

I picked up my renewed permit today and asked the deputy how many permits they're issuing per day (people coming to pick up). The count is approximately 30 - 40.

Goes to show how many 2A guys either don't know about this forum or aren't commenting on ccw's thread....

I FINALLY got my call for interview on May 4th. The deputy called from a 213 area code (WIRELESS) at 10am. My timeline is:
6/28/22 - turned in application at local sheriff station in the Antelope Valley
4/24/23 - LiveScan taken
4/24/23 - FBI LiveScan completed
5/3/23 - CA DOJ LiveScan completed
5/4/23 - Call for interview
5/11/23 - Interview appointment date

As of this morning, the Firearms LiveScan is still showing “processing”.

Hopefully, the end of June 2022 and beginning of July 2022 applications will be getting “the call” within the next week.

CCW unit is active today, just got my PTT email.

I ended up getting a call from a Sgt. in the department to review my background because I had a little fun one time way back in college She was satisfied that I'm now an adult, and told me to look out for the PTT email.

During our conversation she told me they had staffed up and trained more people to process applications. She also mentioned that there was about a 2 month lag/slow down during the Sheriff turnover and new bosses for the CCW unit being put in place.

Current backlog is about 8,000 applicants, and she said to expect pickup call for June/July after email received today.

Damn, four months to get approved. The deputy that interviewed me said it would take five months. I assumed he meant the whole process would take five months, not take that long to get approved or not.

I don't think my case is the norm, since I had the additional phone call with the Sgt. Hopefully you get PTT sooner than me. Based on some other timelines, typical PTT was around 60-70 days.

I?m still waiting for my PTT, my interview was 11/29/22
150+ days. Followed up twice and both times I got the ?your application and live scan are pending review? message??sigh!
