Im surprised you got someone on the phone! I tried calling all last week and never got anyone on the phone.

Today they picked up at the first ring of the first call. Last month I had to call about 20 times over two days before someone picked up.

Congrats! I received my PTT in May but that means I'm probably like 3 months behind you since a ton of people applied in July 2022.

Yes. I did my training in April and emailed them my training documents the same day I received the PTT email in May.

After 2 years and 2 days, this morning, right before 8am, I finally received the call to pick up my CCW. Pick up date is a little less than 2 weeks from now. Call came in from a private number.

Submitted training completion docs: 4/8/24 (never received confirmation of docs received but called after 3 weeks to confirm)
Received call for pickup: 7/5/24

I suspect my process would have been 1-2 months quicker. I was receiving calls from a private number back in November of 2023. Also, I had delays scheduling delays after my initial phone call.

And I submitted my training docs over 3 weeks before him, and should have gotten a call 3 weeks ago.

July 10 is my 2 year mark. Like I've seen with many of you, I submitted my training docs in April and am still waiting. I emailed them to make sure they had all my docs and got an almost immediate reply verifying that they had.

In my case, I had a solo motorcycle crash and was air-lifted, in March. I notified LASD CCW about the incidence out of caution, and gave them the info of the investigating CHP officer. The CHP accident report did not find me at fault, and stated that I had no driving impairment including by drug or alcohol. May be LASD looked into it and that explains my delay? Either way, when I called earlier this week, LASD said there is no issue with my file and I should get a call soon.

There is no rhyme or reason to any of this. I sent my training docs April 5 and have yet to receive a call for pickup.
