No clue, they didn't even say. Just said confirming receipt and you'll be called to pick up

I was planning on going with the LBPD route also as I am a LB resident. From what I?m told is that the upside with Lb is the turnaround should be way quicker with LASD . Only thing is the higher fees, 16hours minimum of training instead of 8, and the pysh eval. I was told that only 1 firearm can be listed on the ccw but I see their app showing a max of 3 so, not sure about that part.

When did you apply with LASD?

So after submitting 6 months in advance, had a one day lapse between old permit and new permit. Granted, I could have saved about 2 weeks if I had taken my tranining prior to receiving approval call. But as I stated before, I advise submitting your renewal, at least 6 months in advance.
        that timeline is insane

you already have the permit. you would think it's a matter of checking boxes and a couple of weeks at most

LBC is without a doubt going to be faster, although that does not mean better.

Im in almost the exact same situation with my city. It appears my city and LBC are very similar in their CCW approval process, minus the 16 hours training.

I could drop from LASD and move to my city but I refuse to pay the crazy high fees and unconstitutional requirements, regardless of turn around times.

Also, if you move out of LBC to somewhere else within LA County you have to reapply with whatever jurisdiction you then fall under. With LASD at least you just submit a change and wait for them to process it. All the while still having your CCW.

                  Thats my two cents.

Got the “training docs received” email after following up with them via email this morning.
12/18/21: app walked-in and check processed by deputy
                        09/15/22: received call for interview
                        10/5/22: Interviewed at Monterey Park
10/5/22: DOJ & FBI Livescan complete
                        10/7/22: Firearms complete
02/27/23: Proceed to Training email (apparently LASD sent this in early January)
                        04/22/23: Training complete
04/26/23: Completed Certs submitted to LASD
05/02/23: Training docs received after follow-up email

Which city in LA county has the highest fees? Long Beach is $500 and Santa Monica is $619. Hopefully, these should be challenged eventually.

Not to mention psych eval and 16hours training. I’m hanging on and waiting for LASD myself. Hopefully soon, just did my live scan as to what the website says for those that submitted apps before 08/01/22.

I sent my training docs twice on April 8th and 11th as a follow up to confirm receipt and didn’t get confirmation of receipt however, I got a request for current utility bill on on April 17th which I promptly sent in. Am I assuming confirmation of receipt on the training docs with the request for current utility bill?

Hey Guys, looking through the livescan paperwork (I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and do it now so I feel like there's SOME progress being made)...

Can anyone confirm that the Billing Number, Misc. number, "Your Number:", and employer section can/should be left blank?

This is the form I'm looking at: https://lasd.org/wp-content/uploads/...722_091222.pdf
