Hey Guys, looking through the livescan paperwork (I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and do it now so I feel like there's SOME progress being made)...

Can anyone confirm that the Billing Number, Misc. number, "Your Number:", and employer section can/should be left blank?

This is the form I'm looking at: https://lasd.org/wp-content/uploads/...722_091222.pdf
    6/28/22 - Mailed
    1/3/24 - CCW Pickup

**ADD your LASD CCW timeline data to tracking spreadsheet at link below**

When I got mines done, the person doing the live scan said not to worry about it. LASD website only mention to filling out applicant information in full only. Billing and miscellaneous number was left blank on mines.

There seems to be a trend for cities that outsource their CCW process to a company called myccw.us where their CCW costs become burdensome to the disadvantaged. The initial application fee paid to myccw.us is $398. Couple that with the rest of the fees and the cost to obtain your CCW for an initial application is in the $1000 range. Of course this is based on several things, mandatory psych eval, firearms training company you decide to use and city admin fees. Renewal fees for these same cities run in the $600 range.

At first $398 to process an application seemed excessive. After going through the process I feel Myccw is well worth the $$$. You get very good service you can check your application status in real time 24/7 most steps are updated within 24 hours pretty much everything is done through a portal. I got a ccw in 67 days using Myccw. Or you can l save a few $$$ and wait 18-24 months for the sheriffs department, which is ridiculous.

                    I have question to Team:
I used to have First Name and Last Name everywhere (particularly DL), but since RealID came out, I add middle name to DL. Should I add my First and Last names as AKA to application and live-scan? No spelling has been changed.
                    Thanks a lot.

Hey guys, got my call for interview a couple days ago, asked for DL, change of address from DMV (my add. Is different from my DL) said to do a finger print live scan. Bring DL and birth certificate or passport and copies of all of the above with utility bill. I don't see anything about live scanning my firearms. Why do I see people on this thread saying they live scanned their weapons? Please enlighten me with as much detail as you can.

When you do your livescan it references 3 different items/departments Californias DOJ, the FBI and last is the firearms are referenced and verifies for/of ownership prohibitive person etc etc. Kinda like what a 4473 does

Please correct me guys if I misspoke on the referencing/verifying portion

                          It's 1 livescan does all 3

                          And congrats!

D_k, im looking at the "request for live scan service" form and it doesn't mention anything about weapons. Just DOJ and FBI (boxes checked off) no other boxes to check off. Please see LASD CCW website for reference. Their is a link to print the form (this is where I got the form) I do not want to delay this process, it has been way too long.
