I've never seen a matte finished one like that one on top. It is interesting looking.
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

I've had those old .410 shells for a loooong time. 3 #6's and one slug.
The matte finish one is a Uberti/Taylor's in .45 Colt and shot/shoots straight out of the box. Really like shooting that one. Thanks 'bossman. And thanks again Mark.

          Get out of town.

Beautiful bridle work. Just an all around great celebration. Please extend our best wishes to your lady! on her 11th go-round at being 39 years old...

I tell her she's 22 not 39!. Thanks Chris. Dave must have been having a good time too. He was scheduled to do two 45 minute sets and ended up playing 35-40 minutes longer which was way cool. Then he hung out and had tacos with us. 14 lbs of our own grassfed beef got it covered:

Heck we even did some trading, its a cowboy thing. Just finished making him a holster, its drying on the counter.

Nice! What firearm goes in it?

Yeah, I can understand the staying longer than expected... kinda like that guy that came up for a shop visit and wound up staying until sunset. Part of it is the company, part of it's the view...

You folks here at the MLC behave yourselves now, I'm off to S/E Idaho for a spell. A little fishing, a little[?] drinking and just kicking back. I need it!

Can't wait! Tomorrow, we're driving to Cody, Wy to have prime rib at the "Irma" cafe in Cody. Great road trip. Right thru Yellowstone. Details later.

I do that every year. It is a fantastic road trip. Be sure to block out some time for a visit to the museum in Cody. If you've never been it is something to behold.

It is, with the exception of the yahoos in Yellowstone that think nothing of stopping short in the roadway to gawk a creature. Really snarls things up.

I've spent lots of time in the park. Usually you can tell by the traffic jam what's ahead. Moose and Grizzly making the biggest jams, unless the stupid bison are blocking the road, then all bests are off.

My oldest daughter worked in the park for one season. She said that some visitors used to ask the workers where they kept the animals at night.

Yellowstone is awesome, but I usually take the southern route through Wind River to Cody nowadays because of the traffic. Still get to see the same critters, no traffic jams.

Yeah, the place really is something else. Well worth the time to check out, and the food is really good, too! Added bonus - old Winchesters behind the bar to look at.

Pennstater (or anyone else going to Cody) - be sure to check out the "dug firearms" museum. It is a fascinating collection of dug up relic weapons from all over, and is free to enter (donation box in front). Some sobering stuff to see there - pistols at full cock with half empty cylinders, a Winchester frozen in time with a casing in the middle of the extraction/ejection cycle, etc. Guns that were obviously in the middle being used by their owner before some sudden interruption.

Howdy, fellow MLC members! Just thought I'd show off my bad photography skills with a picture of my "One Cartridge, Two Guns" setup. Marlin 1894P and S&W M629, both in .44 Magnum. I know, I know. I should pair the 1894 with a single action revolver. I actually have a Ruger SBH in .44 mag as well. But the loads I like to shoot in it aren't the loads I plan on shooting in the Marlin. If things go according to plan, I'll actually shoot the same load in both the Marlin and the S&W!
