It has been virtually one year, two years, six months three years three years, eight months over four years FIVE years last month! [What in tarnation?! How time flies.] since the Inaugural Meeting of the MLC. This fortuitous convention occurred one great day in December, 2018 somewhere in the middle of the southern California high desert...
IMG_1097.jpg
It was a meeting of three middle-aged southern California hombres who had happened to express here on calguns a love for the Marlin lever carbine, for the Winchesters, for the Rossi clone of the Win '92, for the Mirokus, the Ubertis, the Henrys, and so on. These were revolver-caliber carbines. .357, .44, .44-40, .32-20 (for which Colt produced a revolver after the .32 was introduced in 1882 as a metallic cartridge for varmits and from a rifle)... the bottleneck centerfires are of course included; these being the Winchester 1894 in .30WCF and .32WS and the Marlin 336s, then the wondrous! straight wall .45-70 rifle cartridge-chambered Marlin 1895s, etc. Anything, really, stoked by a lever.
Edit:
Lever-operated shotguns! by all means shall be included and by their very nature as lever operated lead-chuckers. A superb observation.
While no shotgun, this Marlin Model 1895 with it's 405 grain lead slug carries a similar payload:

The three miscreants in question are: 1. golfish, Chairman... 2. pennstater, Vice President Hospitality Operations... and 3. Apples, Chief Cook and Bottle Washer.
In the interim a few photos were posted, comments were made and other like-minded men joined in to celebrate with us their love for the lever carbine. These fine souls of men (and women, should they ever appear), we have accepted with open arms and with open beers into The Fold. Well, I'm the resident teetotaler, so, there's that. At least my arms remainloaded open. I digress...

Some of these lever-lovin' fools lived to the far, far north! (Spyder and his ilk) and because of their distance we bestowed upon them the prefix "Honorary" member of the Mojave Lever Crew... this became a bother, sorting this person from that, so, after a top-secret meeting in a classified location, the MLC Advisory Board, Membership Division has done away! with this tragic designation and have now decreed all present and future members as simply "Mojave Lever Crew".
I could go on...

To anyone! we may have overlooked! we offer our most sincere apologies and one live cartridge of .22 LR. Please! Speak up!, post and this thread SHALL BE AMENDED.
Remember! The only requirement for membership in the Mojave Lever Crew is a *desire* to own a lever rifle or lever carbine [MLC Administrative Code Section 1894, Chapters 357 - 44]. It is so, on this day May 7, 2020. Amen.

Modification requested to the requirements. I propose that should someone merely own a Winchester 1887, they be eligible for enrollment, as I do not believe that something as simple as rifling should be used to keep us apart.
