One thing to note is that the image on their site seems to be wrong, I don't believe this one has checkering. If you notice in the description it says "None" for checkering and if you look at some of the listings on GunBroker, it is showed without it as well.
I have been eyeing one of these as well, but would prefer it with checkering like in the stock photo.Comment

That doesn't look like a 20" barrel in the picture either. Looking at other models with 20" barrel, they seem correct, this one doesn't. it looks like the Trapper length (16") in the picture. One thing to note is that the image on their site seems to be wrong, I don't believe this one has checkering. I did notice that but figured Winchester would have the correct image on their website. Guess we’ll have to wait and see. I emailed the GB seller for an ETA on shipping and their response was “as fast as possible”One thing to note is that the image on their site seems to be wrong, I don't believe this one has checkering. They use three day shipping, but if they don’t ship it for a week they may as well have just gone ground.

Nice looking wood on that 73! Congrats!Comment

Usually I prefer plain stocks on lever actions. But, I wanted a Henry in .357 magnum and I liked the CCH steel frame so I ordered the rifle and the carbine even though they both had checkering. I'm sure the checkering will not bother me at all. Excuse the picture, it was taken from my computer screen to show my son what I had ordered.

That's a good one. It looks like a 20" barrel with no checkering...It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.
Happiness is a warm gun.

Tracking in my 45-70 went from delivery by EOD today to “possible delayed” with no delivery date.

I need to hold one of these CCH guns, I really like em. Henry really has stepped up in the past few years. I'm not all that happy with my Long Ranger, yet. I just need to put some more factory ammo through it.Usually I prefer plain stocks on lever actions. Really looking forward to a range report on your new gunLast edited by golfish; 09-14-2021, 8:29 PM.It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

The picture is some kind of artist's rendition so the CCH looks weird. They will look much better in person when they come in.
I'm very happy with the fit and finish on my Big Boy brass frame in .45 Colt. The action is very smooth but I have not shot it yet because of my ammo situation in that caliber. I do have some factory .357 magnum ammo so I'm ready when the two new ones come in.

Oh, you're going to really like that Henry .45 Colt. I have one and it's my favorite rifle to shoot in the desert. Right along my Henry .357 Classic. The picture is some kind of artist's rendition so the CCH looks weird. They will look much better in person when they come in.

When you track it, does it show actually being picked up and some scans of it moving across the country?
If not, it's not been picked up and there's no idea how long until the seller actually even hands the package off to the shipper.
Was it coming from or passing through somewhere that's getting bad storms/weather right now?Randall Rausch

I'm really looking forward to shooting the Henry Big Boy .45 Colt. I have a Winchester Model 94 Trails End in .45 Colt that's a pleasure to shoot. I've had it since the late 90s so I assume it is American made. I'm expecting the Henry to be just as much fun to shoot as the Winchester.
These are the only two lever actions I have until the two Henrys in .357 magnum come in.
