Although it's not an 1894SS, I did buy an 1894 FG in .41 Mag about 2 months later.

Put a Skinner rail on my R92 last night. Perfect fit and looks natural. Need to dig through the parts bin fir a sturdy compact red dot that'll hold up to heavy recoil. ?

It went well. It wasn't too hot as there was a breeze most of the day. We served about 1200 meals.
My only issue was there were only 3 of us dipping and breading all that fish.
That did not allow for taking a break very often.
My wife and some of my in-laws enjoyed it very much.
I don't know if ar-15 barrels made it.

I didn't make it.
The weather forecast spooked our friends that went with us last year and that caused my wife to drop out so I stayed home with her.

I haven't been able to find a .44 SPL so I had to settle for a 4 inch S&W Model 29. It is in jail until I go down to pick it up on 9/14. (It is in Anaheim, and I am one of the cooks for a CRPA dinner at the Compton Hunting and Fishing Club on that day. I am combining trips down the hill.)
