Oh my! Got a package today full of golf balls, knife sheaths and a very nice Swiss army knife. Thank you so much, Bob.

ps: shipping cost will be sent asap.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

You can substitute Mojave with Modoc if that makes it less of a drive. That's what I did.

Well, it is not lever gun related, but I bought a Springfield Hellcat 9mm to put on my CCW when it gets renewed in September. I really like the sights - a white line U rear sight and a night sight front sight. It is optics ready, too. With the new 11% tax starting July 1, I would like to find a .45 (or even .38 SPL) Schofield private party sale I hate to have to pay the 11% on a fairly expensive revolver after July 1..I hope the tax will be overturned but that may take a year or more.

The VA upped my Agent Orange disability by accepting my bilateral neuropathy in arms and legs and backdated it, so I got a large deposit from them and I have enough to have some fun money...

I have a work party at the Compton club tomorrow and the FNRA dinner there next Saturday to prep for. We usually get a couple hundred people out for that. I am working with some other members to set up a similar event to benefit the CRPA.

Hey Brother, please let us know what you think of the Hellcat, I kind of like that one.

I will post once I get it out of jail. If we go shooting again, you can try it out. I handled the Ruger Max 9 and a couple of S&W subcompacts but the Hellcat felt the best to me.
I am, admittedly, a trigger snob. Most of the striker fired pistols I have tried have triggers like a Fanner 50. I have a Springfield XD9 sub compact that is nice but it is heavy and fat. (Like me, I guess...) My automatics range from a High Standard Sportking my Dad bought in 1955, a Ruger MKII target with a bull barrel, a Kings custom Commander, a P-14 double stack 1911, a couple of Star Model Super S .380s, an FEG HiPower clone and the afore-mentioned XD SC 9mm.

Put a new Marlin 1894 357 mag in jail yesterday, just in time to beat the 11% tax.

Couldn't resist partly because this rifle has some of the most beautiful walnut seen on a production gun. Heavily figured with tight swirls.

Action is very smooth like my Henry but this beauty is about a pound lighter. If I figure out how to post pics here I'll post some after I pick it up.

I got up early and went to the range to shoot my new Hellcat and the other guns on my CCW list, which expirs in September. I have my mandatory class and range requalification on Friday, the 19th of this month. (The day before the CHFC FIsh Fry.)

Everything shot well, except the Commander would lock open occasionally. I think a good cleaning and lube will fix that. The Hellcat was very pleasant to shoot. I had thought it might be a bit snappy due to its light weight. With the extended floorplate, I am able to get a full grip on it. It shot to point of aim with 115 gr and 124 gr ammo, though I was just shooting at 5 yards - the range the qualification is shot at. Even the little LCP shot accurately.

                              You suck!

I don't have the energy today (stomach bug) to coach you re pictures posting, but we're looking forward to seeing this thing.

I just got a new-to-me bolt rifle but it's been too hot to go shootin and I've been too busy putzin around w/ life and trying to finish my camper trailer to get up at 0-dark-thirty to hit the dez and back by 1PM.

                              .
