I see you've hung out with movie drivers?

They start work at 2 a.m., drive trucks to some location, set up base camp, rig trailer electrical from a 1000 amp "plant", and are all standing at the ready when the rest of the film crew roll in at 5:30 a.m.

And folks wonder when they see an occasional driver napping in the cab while parked...

Yep.
Except the ones I hung out with were not allowed to touch anything electrical.
The electricians had to do all that for them.

What area are you hunting? Up by Riggins? I drew an either sex tag for 39/43, and am pouring over OnX Hunt as we speak.

Oh, yeah.... grouse, quail, and even dove are open now. I carry a .22 revolver for the grouse - a stupider bird I've never seen.

Heading towards St. Anthony's/Sand crk area at first. Then over towards Birch Crk later on. Damn grouse are as stupid as s**t! Had to toss pine cones the last time I was there to get them to fly! Cook up good tho.

Basecamp is another story and drivers will help the Local 40 guy (base camp generator operator who holds two cards: 399 and 40) lay out the three-phase (5-wire banded cable) and run 120V splits to each row of cast trailers.

You joke, but it is almost true. I've had them plop down from a tree right in front of me while I'm walking about, and stare. That's why I carry a .22 pistol deer hunting.
