As far as reloading goes, I have some black powder and may try using it for a few rounds, Its just a bit messy for my butler to clean is all.

Actually, I have some Berrys 240 gn bullets on the way and figured I'd use some N350 for the powder. I do want to try real blackpowder as well, I will just fill it up to the bottom of the bullet plus a little. Have to get some bullets lubed for black powder before I can try that out.

Do you know which model of Weaver the optic is?
Do the reticle stadia move when the adjustment knobs are turned?
I have something similar from that era, a neat example of changing optics tech.
Like the 39 as well. One can never have too many rimfires.

Sorry Splithoof, just saw your question. I'm not sure the model I can only see p?rt of name ,most the rest is under the scope mount. I'll have to get it out and dismount it soon to find out.
I didn't have to adjust the reticles much to zero so I didn't notice if they move.

The only requirement for membership in the Mojave Lever Crew is at minimum the *desire* to own a lever action long gun. That any prospective soul owns, shoots and maintains an armory containing lever actions is icing on the cake. And I have a butler, too. It's called a Tipton Gun Butler...

I was recently (last month) up in the northern part of Idaho investigating equestrian friendly areas; it sure is beautiful! Folks I met were very friendly and helpful. Hoping to make another trip to the southern section of your state in the spring.
