I re-qualified back in July, got the extension card, but still have not received anything besides the blue paper. Has anyone received their actual renewal since requal in or after July? I really want to carry the new pistols that I added on with my renewal...

I haven't seen anyone post on here they they got theirs since that post. I would imagine there is a backlog from the start of the year, so I was specifically asking if anyone has gotten theirs since July renewal or later.

I am in the same boat (July expiration, with extension), and I guess, we are waiting for a phone call to go to Devore to get re-finger printed, new photo, and sign zee papers.

I turned in renewal in June [i think it was atound the 15th] and expired in October. I was expired for a week or two and got the blue extension in the mail for 120 days. That 120 days was almost up and I got a call on 9/21 to schedule. I was in the following Monday to fingerprint and sign on the new paper ccw. It can be cut down, folded, and laminated but at this point there is no credit card permit. My new paper permit started on the original expiration. As a side note I had no changes in firearms, employment, address, etc.

Thanks. I also just heard back from the department and it sounds like they are working on June right now. Hoping that means I will hear something in a month or so.

Hello everyone! I had my Range day on April 8th of this year, the same time as the system went down. I passed my class and Range shooting but when I was handed my permit it had my incorrect Birthdate on it. at that time they took it back and said they would mail me a corrected one but I have never received one. I have sent e-mail and have driven over to the CCW office 3 times and still have nothing? My last email (8-28-23) from CCW office said I will hear from them shortly, so I did a follow up last week and still haven't heard a word! Waiting a couple of days short of 6 months and nothing?

They working their way through months and months of renewals. New permits are probably not a priority.

I had my range day May 13th. Added different guns on my permit so didnt receive my ccw that day like others. Got a call around beginning of July to send them a photo of myself so they can issue my ccw and it would be mailed out same day. Received my ccw in mail and noticed they messed up the serial number on one of my pistols. Called them same day to tell them the issue. Told me to come down and they will print me out another card. So theres no problem with issuing. I'd give them a call and setup an appointment to get the issue resolved. Good luck!

CCW Permit update

I wrote an Email to the SBCSD (ccwinfo@sbcsd.org) yesterday and received an answer this morning from Rebecca and it stated that she is having the deputies finishing a background check, i don't know why? the only thing wrong on my permit that they handed me was the year of my birthday?? So maybe it will be coming soon?

I believe Rebecca is the new go to gal to help get things done, there could others but she is the one I dealt with. The new permits are not the credit card type and you will need to fold them and have them laminated. Even though I had my Range day April 8th they started my permit now. Good luck to anybuddy just starting out, hang in there it will finally come your turn.

Thanks for the update. You and I are in the same timeline. Hopefully I will get a call soon too. Isn't it fun to jump through all the hoops to exercise our 2nd amendment rights?
