    FOR ALL NEW APPLICANTS

This is new; at least for me it is, on page one of the current "New Applicant Instructions" (9/11/2023) they list at the bottom of the page:

***YOU MAY ONLY QUALIFY WITH FIREARMS LISTED ON YOUR INITIAL APPLICATION***
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Okay, I've had mine for a while and hadn't looked at the new applicant instructions in a while. It's too bad that they are doing this. I just happened to be cleaning my Sig P220 when I applied. When I went in for my interview, the deputy asked me if I was planning on listing it. I said no that it was just the gun I had in my hand when I applied. He then said: Do you want to sell it?

I had 3 guns with me on my range day and qualified with all 3 of them. I've been though a few renewals and only 1 of the originals is still on my permit.

Didn't they mail them out two years ago? Or am I misremembering? I hate driving down there, 175 mile round trip.

This is for those who got the extensions. If you weren't caught up in that mess you'd should be fine.

Yep, I got the extension through the mail. I am covered through October. I am just hoping they mail the new card and not require the drive to Devore.

Probably in the SBCo CCW group.
I can confirm they are making calls to set appointments.

You will need to make the drive.

If you listed the P220 on your permit, then dropped it at renewal, EVERYONE from the range guy to the receptionist is going to ask you why you are dropping it. Trust me on this.

FYI You will get your renewal after your appointment.
Unfortunately it will not be the credit card style.
It is back to a paper permit.

So is SBCo accepting new applicants again? Or they?re only doing renewals and extension?
Their website states the system is still down with no known ETA

If I want to change the guns on my permit is it best to wait until renewal time? I have never changed any before.

                                Can only change at renewal.
