    Same as johndoe, detective Logan didn't question me on my good cause, she read it if I remember correctly out loud, I agreed that that was my reason. She underlined 3 or four key words, and that was that. Other than that the only other thing she really questioned me on was the drug use I admitted to on the questionnaire (smoked pot once over 20 years ago)

      Just added the following interview to the OP:

      McMahon says that going to the bank at night and personal protection meet his GC standard (2:00 - 2:26). He also sounds like he believes SD = GC because of the 2nd A (3:55 - 4:50).

        Could've been just me. But then again, I look boring on paper. Honorable discharge, no criminal history and never even had a traffic violation.

        ::knock on wood::

        I still advise anyone applying to be able to articulate your good cause in case they do ask.

          Hey do you guys know if San Bern requires their CCW holders to notify law enforcement that you are carrying? I do remember seeing that you must let the department know if you're ever stopped while CCWing.

            Unofficially. They tell you this but I don't believe it's written anywhere.

              This is from the SBSD CCW page. Page 4 has the CCW Holder's Agreement that references to it. It states that you are to notify that you are a CCW holder if contacted by a peace officer.

                I stand corrected. I wonder if that's changed or it's just been so long I don't remember seeing it. I know in all the classes they tell you this though.

                  I'm with you there. I didn't see this until the other day when I went to find the phone number for ESD.

                        Just posting this for those that live in upland. If you haven't seen the thread yet, if you live in upland they are now issuing, and the process is much shorter than going through the sheriff.

                          Been just over 9 weeks since my interview date. Should I call to follow up? I know they completed employment verification and neighbor check already...

                            Yes, I called and found out what was missing and was able to fix it. They look up your file and can tell you just where it's at. Otherwise it just sits.

                              Strange, I just called them and they said that if I don't hear back after 90 days, that's when I should call. Said that all she could see was that it was pending. I'm coming up on 68 days.

                                I forget the name of the lady that sits at the front desk. Is it Chandra? Anyways, I called and was hesitate to give her my name or anything, I just asked about how long that part should take. She said about 60 days (at the time) and asked for my name. I was like "oh crap, she's gonna mark my file that I'm to anxious" but she said don't worry about it. Looked up my info and found that the employment letter was sent to the wrong person/place. We fixed that and it was all done about a week and a half later.
