      Define 'renting' and 'permanent'.

Not sure how much I can define renting. I have a lease here in Ontario with my name on the lease and will be extending it mid next year. I don’t plan on leaving here anytime soon. And as in permanent I was referring to the fact that I am renting. Do I have to show that I’m a home owner or is a lease good enough? Thanks for replying!

I'm pretty new as well. I just put in my application on 9/11/2020 and was able to schedule my Interview for 1/12/2021 so as of my time line it's a 4 month wait for the interview which I remember reading would be a few month wait. It's definitely worth it to go through the process.

Make sure to study up on this site https://wp.sbcounty.gov/sheriff/ccw-faq/ (hopefully it shows as a link - it's my first time doing that). It's the CCW website through the San Bernardino Sheriffs Dept. There's paperwork you have to get prepared certain things you have to have in your name, like a firearm registered in California for instance and your name will need to be on your Rental Agreement and there are steps to follow, but again, it's all worth it. It breaks it all down for you on that site and the community in here is extremely helpful as well. Biggest thing is starting the process.

Anyone know if you get denied do you get a phone call or email, or do you just never hear back?

My interview was on July 8th and I still haven't heard anything.

I really shouldn't get denied as I had a CCW in Orange County for four years and have nothing bad on my record.
I will stand for truth even if I stand alone.

The last time I had faith in the News was when it was with Huey Lewis.

No problem at all. Post your progress here as you go along if you like. It could help others. Also the sooner you submit your application the sooner you can lock in an interview date.

Your orginal post seemed as if you were only a very short term renter. People have tried to pull a fast one to get a CCW.

I will for sure post my progress on here. Seemed very difficult to me in the past that’s why I never tried but will definitely get started on it.

Oh no I’m not planning on moving anytime soon. Just didn’t know if being a renter would disqualify me or not.

I know what you mean. Yeah it's just a process you have to go through.

                            Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
