My current renewal journey...

My permit expires on 10-15-2023.
08-04-23 = watched the three CCW renewal videos using the links from the SBSD CCW website and completed the CCW Policy Renewal Attestation 2023 form.
08-08-23 = completed the CCW renewal training at the Route 66 Shooting Sports Park.
08-09-23 = turned in my CCW renewal packet at the SBSD CCW unit and advised them of two changes (job title change and drop/add new handgun). they took my picture and gave me the 120 day extension card. they advised that I can not carry my new handgun, until I receive my new CCW permit. they also advised that I will receive a phone call informing me when I can come and pick up my new CCW permit.

Same as above .
8/19 Renewal at WECG. Mo at Post Office. Videos at home. Finished Paper work.
8/22 Dropped of Paperwork. Picture and Extension card. Dropped One added One. Ezz Pzz.

Heads up for those taking CCW renewal paperwork to the new location at 18901 Institution Rd in San Bernardino

The Institution Rd entrance was closed today. There was a woman waiting there for someone to bring her something and she said they would come to the gate at 2:00. It was 1:20 so I found a spot to park under a tree and wait since I drove down from Apple Valley.

When the guy showed up he told me I had to go in the back way through the residential neighborhood off the 15 fwy. I didn't know there was even a way in from there and there were no signs posted with any info, just road closed.

For anyone looking for the entrance it is at 18325 Lapis Ln San Bernardino 92407 inn the Rosena Ranch development off Glen Helen Pky.

That is a question only they will know the answer to.
Hope they get on it soon.
Some of us didn't get the blue card till July so we lost a month.

AFAIK...
As part of emergency legislation/regulations, passed over the last couple of years by the CA legislation due to COVID, was to legally allow CA Gov agencies the legal authority and ability to issue a 120 day extension to expired licenses/permits that they issue, due to delays caused by circumstances outside that agency's control.
I believe this 120 day extension could only be issued once per person.

The person who handed me the extension, told me to notify them within a couple weeks of expiration. Not sure what they?ll do, but that?s what he told me.

Thought this might be of interest to you SB folks, picked up my permit today in Riverside. They process your permit on the spot, take the pic and print the permit on this special printer.

SB had CCW personnel there reviewing the RSO CCW printer and camera system as I was being processed. Looks like they will be going with same setup.

They have been printing the CCW cards in the office for years.

Just saw on Facebook that they are calling people to let them know that their renewals are ready. They will make an appointment for you to go in and pick it up.
