Call them up or email Sarah and tell her exactly that. If you had a felony they will find out.

            That is a common misconception.

            In CA...

Juvenile criminal records are not automatically sealed.

Once a person turns 18, they can petition the CA Courts to seal their juvenile criminal record. If approved, the records will get sealed 5 years after the CA Court approves it.

Even though the records are "sealed", Federal and CA LE agencies can still access it for the purpose of conducting official investigations (criminal and background).

Advisory: CCW Permit Processing Now Available in 2 Locations with Opening of Victorville Office

ANNOUNCEMENT: San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Opens High Desert Location for CCW Permit Processing

April 19, 2022 - The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is proud to announce the addition of our High Desert location for processing of Concealed Carry Weapon permits (CCW). As we continue to see tremendous growth in the High Desert area of San Bernardino County, we recognize the need for ease of access to apply and receive a CCW permit. Although this office is not currently processing renewal requests, we anticipate this service to be available in the coming months.
The office is located within our Victorville Court Services Division at 14455 Civic Drive, in Victorville on the northeast side of the Victorville Courthouse. The office will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For additional information and questions, please visit our website at https://wp.sbcounty.gov/sheriff/ccw-faq/ or call (909) 473-3893.

Thanks everyone, they basically told me to let the investigator know at my interview.

                  Question for the military veterans.

The instructions state I need to provide an original plus 1 copy of certain docs, including the DD-214.

I lost my original and when I requested it a few years back, I was given an electronic copy.

Will this pass for the interview?

I apologize in advance if this question has already been answered, I've been scrolling for a while and haven't seen this question.

In San Bernardino is having a red dot [ holosun/rmr ] allowed on a ccw firearm? I'm concerned about them only wanting the firearm to be stock but is it okay to add some mods.

                      Yes they are allowed

Currently, SBSD allows all types of modifications to carry handguns, as long as it does not make the handgun into a prohibited weapon.

In addition, SBSD strongly recommends not having any type of logo, slogan, or wording on the firearm that would make the permit holder be perceived in a negative manner.

Mods are allowed as long as it doesnt alter or interfere with the stock safety features on the firearm.

The copy you received as your replacement will work as your original document. What I did for my interview was I put the original in a plastic sleeve and wrote the word "Original" on the plastic, so I wouldn't confuse the two. During my interview it wasn't even removed from the plastic, the Deputy just took the copy.

On a side note, before my California CCW interview I went through the process to get my AZ non-resident permit. Having your DD-214 is half of the battle, and it can help your CA FBI fingerprinting go through a lot faster.
