I want to carry for my safety but, genuinely fear I may be blacklisted from any potential advancement opportunities at work.
The upper management at where I work is mostly liberal and, during every election cycle, actively promotes voting Democrat to make the State & Country better.

When my employment received the letter, it was forwarded to the Assistant Director of my department. He advised me he filled it out and mailed it back. He then re-advised me of the department's work policy on weapons. He also said that if I carry to work, I can't carry while working because I am not authorized to be armed while working. So, I can secure my sidearm in a locked container in my locked desk in my office or secure my sidearm in my vehicle.

The only change I noticed, at my work place, was different departmental managers quietly asking me how to or what the process was to obtain a CCW permit, so they could go about getting one.

In the classroom they said you need to hit it 8/10.

      Timeline:
      Applied 3/2021
      Interview 7/2021
      Class 2/26/2022
Yikes. My interview was in November. If that's the schedule I'm looking to be in class somewhere in June.

I submitted my application this morning but after choosing an interview time and date, I hit the "submit" button and it kept giving me an error that I had to choose a time and date before I could proceed. I tried to refresh the page, at which point a notification that my social was already in an application popped up.

Has this happened to anyone else, or should I give the CCW dept a call to confirm it went through? I know on the website it states that email confirmation may take up to a week, I'm just a bit unsure if I should call now or wait.thank you!

It has happened before. You can send them a short email telling them what happened. Sarah will get back to you as soon as she can.

As soon as she can could be as long as a week, just be patient.

              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I recently got a golden 1911 in my hands and I was wondering what the sheriffs think about showy guns. Is it as simple as the gun being registered to me and that's all there is to it? Or would they give me a hard time adding that on to my license when I'm up for renewal?

As long as you can qualify with it and it is within the min-max caliber restriction, then it can be listed.

min-max caliber restriction = cartridge can not be smaller than .25 caliber and can not be greater than .45 caliber

Only cosmetic feature that could cause the handgun to not be approved is if it has wording or a logo on it that would be cause the permit holder to be seen in a negative light.

hello everyone! first post on Calguns.

does anyone have any idea how long the DOJ "firearms" "in progress" is taking now in 2022? I fingerprinted for the 2nd time(first time the DOJ never received my prints) on 2/3/22. FBI and CA were done within a week. I am now over 7 weeks on the firearms background. any help would be great.

                        thank you!

                              Give it time...

7 weeks is a long time. Over in the LA CCW forum they have volume and seeing 5 - 7 weeks comes up pretty regularly. Apparently, they are telling people it could take up to 90 days, but you are already one of the longer wait times.
