I received the call today for scheduling class/qualification, a month from now. This time it's out of Devore. Looking forward to finally completing the process.

Thanks. Mid-April. I did pass on an earlier class date; I could have taken the prior course- end of July. I was waiting on a new pistol to come in so as to be able to list it on my ccw.

I had an error on one of my renewal cards. Started the renewal process early on. During the renewal class they handed out the new card to many of the attendees after the class.

I looked over the card and saw the error and told them on the spot. They took the card back and mailed a corrected one out and I got it either the next day or the following. All before my current CCW card expired. So, I didn't have a down day.

Anyone have any insight on whether or not we can use a .357 SIG handgun for our CCW in San Bernardino? It's not entirely clear on the website when they mention:

              "What caliber weapons are accepted?

.25 caliber up to .45 caliber. No .22 caliber handguns will be allowed"

The projectile of a 357 SIG is smaller than a 45, but the velocity and power is arguably more in a .357 SIG

Your answer is in red above.
                Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

                        Yup.

It says "calibre". The calibre usually represent the "diameter" of the bullet. So long as the diameter of bullet is between .25 and .45 you can list it on your permit.

Power factor has nothing to do with it. I believe a member here has a .454 Casull listed on their permit. Which blows your .44 Mag out the window with your thinking.

FYI - August '21 CCW Renewal email

I recently received my CCW Renewal email from the SBCO SD CCW Unit with detailed instructions, links, and attachments.

For approx timeline reference for receiving the renewal email, I got the email 11+ weeks before mine expires.

You must wait for the CCW Renewal email, before submitting your CCW Renewal paperwork to the SBCO Sheriff Station!

I'm glad I didn't just drop off my renewal paperwork last week. I waited for the email.

Confidentiality Notice in the email, so I can not share anything more.

AFAIK, .45 calibers that have been approved by SBSD in the past two decades...

Turned in renewal and money orders on 07/30/21

Permit in the mail today 08/11/21

Speedy service I would say. Too bad I can't carry the gun I added until 10/02/21 when my old permit expires.
