I just gotta remember Prado 2 years from now. I am old.
They will give you a range card there at Prado.

One less thing to get together. [emoji28]

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Prado is a pretty cool range to qualify at. That’s where I went. And from Prado to the Sheriff’s Dept if you take the 91 part of the way and have a Fast Track pass, you can bypass a ton of the traffic. They’re only 40 bucks to have one shipped to you if you don’t already have one. You can list multiple vehicles on your profile (only one vehicle can be active at a time though) and good thing is they only charge your card when you drive in the fast track lane, other than it’s untouched. Very beneficial for long trips. If interested you can get one at https://www.metroexpresslanes.net/

Oh yeah there wouldn’t be a need for that. I use mine all the time which is why I mentioned it. Glad you got your renewal!

Shout out to AVGC and there CCW Range Qualifying. When I pulled in there were cars everywhere and I thought it was going to take a while. In and out in 30 minutes, very safe and efficient, lots of RO's.

I had a similar experience yesterday. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely do my next re qualification here if the SBSD is still using their facilities in 2 years. 🤠

My CCW journey is almost complete , went to the Glen Helen class and range qualification today . Detective Dominick really made the class fun along with Deputy Veral . We got to meet the new Sheriff Shannon Dicus and he said the policy on CCW's was going to remain status quo which was good to hear . He also promoted a deputy in front of our class and promoted Detective Dominick to the intel department so this was his last class . It was exactly like most people here on Calguns say it is , They want you to have your ccw if your a good person . Here is my timeline , I applied last September and they gave me an interview for November 12th but that got pushed back due to covid , they rescheduled me for April 20th , I got the call June 28th to attend the July 17th class at Glen Helen to also qualify with my firearms so all in all it was a total of 10 months even with the Covid delay . Now about a 3 week wait on an envelope with our own writing on it containing our CCW .
Old problems are like dry poop, if you let the dry poop sit it doesn't smell but the minute you decide to stir the poop with a stick, the smell comes back. Moral of the story, Don't bring up old problems!

My apologies if this has been answered already but I wasn't able to find it in the search...
Does anyone know if you need to make an appointment to turn in the renewal paperwork?
                    Thank you in advance!

Nope, just walk in. They will buzz you in, collect your money, check over your paper work, done.

                          * QUEST FOR MY "CCW" HAS BEGUN *

                          {7/19/2021}
Well, I took the first step on the path to acquiring my CCW. I submitted my online application today and choose a 10/8/21 @ 11am Interview Date/Time, I will update my progress in detail as time goes by.

                          1) {7/19/2021}..After confirming the 10/8 Interview Date and leaving the webpage I realized that I would be out of town that day and would need to reschedule. I called Sarah about an hour after confirming my 10/8 date and left her a voice mail explaining my problem and that I would need to get a new Interview date/time. I left her my name and phone number.
                          2) {7/21/2021}..Sarah called me at 9:30 am and rescheduled me for 10/12/2021 @ 11am
                          3) {7/24/2021}..Received my 1st Interview Date confirmation via email from SBSD
                          4) {7/29/2021}..Received my 2nd Interview Date confirmation via email from SBSD
                          5) {8/03/2021}..Received my 3nd Interview Date confirmation via email from SBSD
                          6) {8/08/2021}..Received my 4th Interview Date confirmation via email from SBSD
                          *** September 20 2021 UPDATE ***
Have not received anymore emails regarding Interview date confirmation since 08/08/2021
                          October 12th UPDATE
Went in today for my scheduled Interview, I got here 1 hour early and they took me right in no waiting. They reviewed all of my paperwork and then took my picture and finger prints, the whole process only took about 20 minutes and I was out the door headed home.
They told that I would be getting a call with information about my Class & Range date, just sit tight and they will contact me.
                          February 11th 2022 UPDATE
Well I received an email today from Sarah requesting that I pick a Qualification date for my class and qualification session. So its been right 4 months since I had my interview. So I'm going to hit the range the next few weeks and get in some target practice so I will be on point come judgement day next month in March.

I'll be moving to San Bernardino county shortly. How soon could I apply for a CCW once I move residences?

Once you have proof of residency, go for it.

They could wait for the "proof" but there's really no reason to do so.

At this point it's taking about four months from the time of application to interview. All the proof you'll need will be here in time for your interview.

I would apply the day after you move into your new place.
