any recent experiences with the employer contact? I work for a college. It is incredibly liberal, much much more than the one I worked at previously and the one I graduated from. I am afraid that this will cause any issues between me and my employer, but at the same time I don't want to be 'afraid' of getting my CCW because of this.

Question? Has anyone taken a psych eval for their CCW? I think it's a new thing now considering all these shooting n stuff. Anyway, what happens n what they ask? What to expect??

Okay, they are a bit busy right now so things are taking a bit longer. The employment verification has always been what hangs things up.

If you haven't heard from them in 90 days I would send Sarah an email and ask her if she heard back from your employer. Let her know that they may not be interested in replying and ask if there's a different way you could verify your employment.

CCW Application Update

Just got the call for my range day! Honestly was not expecting the call to come so fast but I could not be more excited.

Timeline:

08/03/21 - Applied

10/20/21 - Interview

12/7/2021 - Received the call

(Scheduled Range Day January 8th, 2022)

I got my renewal email 7/6/21 and got my renewal paperwork turned in around the middle of August. My permit expired on 10/15/21 and I still have not received my renewal. I called the office a couple days before my expiration and was told to be patient it should be there in time. I didn't receive it by my expiration so I emailed them on 10/23rd with no reply. Are other people having issues with their renewals being delayed and i'm being impatient? Or is there other reasons why my permit got delayed that i'm not considering? (Nothing has changed as far as eligibility, no tickets, no interactions with LE. I moved but I updated them and my previous permit reflected the move.)

Same here. Turned mine in 8/25/21. Went to the Dept on 10/05/21, Told to be Patient. Called 10/14/21 and talked to an Officer, was told be Patient. Emailed 10/25/21, no Answer. Mine Expired on 10/15/21 Also. I'm Being Patient. I think the CCW Dept has been Move.

Reading post 8124 & 8125. I guess I won't even bother calling or emailing the CCW unit I will have to settle with "Patience grasshopper!"

So I just received my renewal permit, a little over 1M late. So people that might be getting impatient on their renewals they are just running a little behind.

you all are looking at the wrong enity.
The San Bernardino Sheriff's Office works within California state law.

All of those obstacles are placed there by the folks elected by the people who are complaining about the laws they passed.

If you want things to change, get involved, work towards getting less liberal candidates elected. Help the pro gun organizations.

FINALLY put in my initial application online, I submitted it and scheduled the soonest interview I could on my day off. I pushed confirm and the screen didn't load anything new or change so I pressed confirm again and nothing happened. So I went back a page and tried to submit the application again and it said my SSN was already in the database. Does that mean that my application was submitted and the interview date was recorded?
